Sporting events represent a relevant part of Festadelmare's programme. From the well established experiences of Sailing Ragattas, in collaboration with the ‘Circolo Nautico La Caletta', to the Marine Swimming Race, every year some events will be added on the programme, such as: Kayak Canoe Race, which is part of the official regional competition of the FICK (Federazione Italiana Canoa Kayak) and other water-sports, like windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing. Every year the programme presents differents one-day stages which try to teach how to live the seaman relationship and the potential touristic development which comes from the sea, also in low seasons. For example, there are the free one-day stages which are to be held on the beach and for a limited number of participants:

- basic swimming skills and resque techniques;
- basic surfing techniques;
- basic windsurfing techniques;
- basic kitesurfing techniques.
